Sounds of Harmony

"After her last album, dedicated to the Brazilian songbook, the aim of soprano Marcia Domingues when researching the repertoire for Sons da Harmonia was to evoke different moments and contexts" that bring in the maternal figure the certainty that we are supported and involved in her arms, receiving profound protection ". This attempt translates into a collection of versions of Ave Maria, which takes us from the Baroque period to reinterpretations made in the 20th century, with different formations. Caccini's Ave Maria, for example, was recorded with organ accompaniment in Germany and, in Brazil, with the participation of Martha Domingues' piano and Sandro Francischetti's cello, in the Portas do Souto Chapel in Portugal, she recorded the cappella with Ave Maria de Gounod. accompanies on Ave Maria de Händel and on the version of Ave Maria no morro, by Herivelto Martins, also included on the album the song God Help the Outcasts, by Alan Menken, a successful number in the musical The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, and the Ave Maria by Jayme Redondo. "(Classical Music Concert Magazine, São Paulo-Brazil).
